DIRECTOR
At the age of 4, Radu went for the first time on a movie set, and it was love at the first sight. Later on, he graduated film school at Hyperion University, in Bucharest. After a few years spent in an advertising company, working as a copywriter and group creative director, he decided to return to his first love: screenwriting and film directing. He went to Amsterdam for the Binger FilmLab screenwriters’ programme, then to Berlin for Nipkow Programme. Back in Romania, he wrote and directed several festival acclaimed shorts, such as Daddy Rulz and My Name Is Costin, and the commercial success feature The In-Laws (second ranked Romanian movie of the year, in terms of domestic theatrical revenues). Radu is fond of American contemporary cinema, among his favourites are: David Fincher, Christopher Nolan, Alejandro Gonzales Iñárritu and Spike Lee.
