SYNOPSIS

While Pedro Américo denies having fabricated fake news, Paulo Setubal reveals the Emperor’s innermost secrets.

DIRECTOR

Daniel Nolasco was born in the city of Catalão, Brazil. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Cinema and Audiovisual from the Fluminense Federal University and in History from the Federal University of Goiás. He has written and directed more than 10 short films, screened and awarded at festivals all around the world. His first documentary feature film is Paulistas (2017). His second documentary, Mr. Leather (2019), was screened at festivals such as BAFICI, Frameline, Montreal International Documentary Festival, FicViña Viña del Mar. Dry Wind (2020), his first fiction feature film, premiered at the 70th Berlinale, and participated in more than 80 films festivals.
