SYNOPSIS
Julia returns to her hometown and her neighborhood from which she left years ago after a scam. Officially, the reason of this return is that she has to sign a permit to authorize her daughter to expatriate with her father; but, and above all, she needs recover some money that she left there, and that would solve many problems for her. This reunion with her past will not turn out as expected.
DIRECTOR
Graduated in Literature from the University of Buenos Aires. She received a scholarship in the Master of Scriptwriting from the Menéndez Pelayo University (Spain). Until 2008 she was a professor of Audiovisual Narrative Structures at the University of Buenos Aires. In 2011 she obtained an Audiovisual Improvement Grant from the Valencian Institute of Cinematography (Spain) and a Grant for the Making of Feature Film from the National Fund for the Arts (Argentina).
She is a scriptwriter of television fiction for Viacom and Mediapro and MGM. She was a script consultant at ViñaLab 2015 and 2017. She was called by the production companies K&S (Argentina), Avalon Producciones (Spain) and Tondero Films (Peru) to diagnose cinematographic projects. She directed the short film De Vuelta (Short Stories INCAA 2015), selected at the Oaxaca Film Festival (Mexico) 2016, at the Indian World Film Festival, at the Cinemaissi Latin American Film Festival in Helsinki and at the Delhi International Film Festival (India) 2016 where It obtained a Special Mention. In 2017, she won an award from INCAA to make the documentary Barrio Modelo, currently in post-production.
