SYNOPSIS

Set against the backdrop of an impending Mars colonization mission, A Marte tells the story of Andrés and Ernesto, ex-lovers reuniting for one last weekend together. In the borrowed seclusion of a mountain house, their shared history resurfaces Ernesto’s insecurity over his dual life and societal expectations and Andrés’s frustration with Ernesto’s constraints. Voyeuristic cinematography and emotionally charged conversations unravel their unresolved conflicts. This down-to-earth drama reflects on love, identity, and the choices that shape us, culminating in a poignant farewell that leaves both men facing their paths ahead with bittersweet clarity.
