Italian international sales agent The Open Reel has announced the acquisition of Liz’s Wait, the debut feature by Brazilian actor-producer-filmmaker Bruno Torres. The film follows Liz, who is beset by doubt and uncertainty as she searches for the reasons why her partner Miguel has abandoned her. During her introspection, she will feel the need for emotional support from her younger sister, Lara. As both sisters become closer, their connection becomes more intense, which leads them to rethink their inner values and strengthen the love that exists between them. However, Lara has a secret related to Miguel’s disappearance, while Liz sees her empowerment start to blossom.
Liz’s Wait is a tender, poetic film written by Torres, who also acts in it, and Simone Iliescu, who plays the leading role. The cast also includes Rosanne Mulholland, Zé Carlos Machado, Ingra Lyberato and Murilo Grossi. The movie is a Brazilian-Venezuelan co-production by Aquarela Midwest, Astrals Music Production and Mistika Post.
