After picking up the last two shorts directed by Daniele Sartori, Doris Ortiz and The Appointmen 2012 – Director’s Cut, The Open Reel has got an agreement to represent also What about Alice?, Sartori’s newsest production, an hybrid among conventional narration and pop contaminations, confirming the talent of this film director from Venice.
What about Alice? is a reinterpretation of the work of Carrol, which is an irreverent and queer-dark version of a grown old Alice, who is now far away from her Wonderland. This artistic video begins with a short clip of the famous story and continues, with all the strenght of the symbolic message that the Director wants to convey, through four disturbing and debuking visual chapters, which turn upside-down the typical icon of the happy childhood.
