SYNOPSIS

Gladys, a woman in her fifties, lives on the fringes of society, without a home, without a health insurance card, without a bank. Nothing matters to her, not even sex, alcohol or dancing, which she practices with a joyful frenzy. One morning, she meets by chance a friend from high school, Eugénie, who tries to help her against her will.

Jérôme Reybaud, born in 1970 in Cannes, is a French filmmaker. After directing an experimental short film with Fabienne Babe (Aires 06, selected at Côté Court Pantin in 2006), he completed the documentary Qui êtes vous, Paul Vecchiali ? in 2012, which was selected at FIDMarseille. His first feature film, 4 Days in France (Jours de France), had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival’s International Critics’ Week in 2016 and was released in France in 2017. In 2022, his medium-length film Poitiers was selected at the Locarno International Film Festival, where it received both an award and a special mention at the Brive Film Festival. A Balcony in Limoges is his second feature film.
